Shear Strength of Concrete Beams without Stirrups Made with Recycled Coarse Aggregate

Eco-friendly concrete that considers waste material and requires less energy for production is in demand because it produces carbon dioxide, reduces the consumption of raw material, can be a cheaper option to conventional concrete. The objectives this study are investigate shear behavior reinforced beams made with locally produced recycled coarse aggregate from construction demolition waste, important parameters affect strength ductility, check applicability available theoretical predictive equations An experimental program involved testing fifteen half-scale without stirrups was carried out component. Results showed employing 50% had on average 27% lower than corresponding natural when tested at span-to-depth ratio equal 1.15, almost same as subjected 2.5.
